Odoo, the ERP we deploy in batches, accounting first
Odoo has become the default ERP for French-speaking SMEs and mid-caps for a simple reason: you can start with accounting and three modules, then grow without changing tools. That is exactly how we deploy it in Cameroon. The first batch puts your accounting into production; sales, purchasing, inventory, projects or payroll follow, each with its own data migration and its own training. Nobody discovers twelve modules on the same Monday morning.
The difficulty is not technical, it is accounting. Odoo ships with European charts of accounts. We set up SYSCOHADA Revised, Cameroonian VAT, the journals and the statements expected by the administration before anything else, because an accounting system that cannot close in OHADA format condemns the rest of the project. That is also why our products plug into it: ComptaIA, our AI pre-accounting product, runs in production integrated with Odoo through a native connector and delivers supplier invoices already coded; MAASPRO X3 produces the regulatory summary statements from the Odoo trial balance.
On the choice of edition, we have no bias. Community honestly covers sales, purchasing, inventory and CRM; Enterprise becomes necessary as soon as full accounting, Studio or vendor support enter the scope. We price both, licences included, and we train your teams on configuration and business modules through our training practice, so the tool remains yours after we leave.
